The manager Pitso Mosimane could replace has hit back at talk suggesting he is under fire in his current role.
Pyramids FC are preparing to take on Ceramica Cleopatra FC in a battle for third spot in the Egyptian Super Cup on Thursday afternoon after losing to Modern Future FC in their semi-final on Monday.

That Super Cup defeat comes after Jaime Pacheco and his side suffered a 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League last week.
The Egyptian outfit are now third in Group A with just one victory in four matches, and this has seen the Portuguese tactician come under immense pressure amid reports linking the club with a move to replace him with Mosimane.
With Pyramids now readying themselves for their clash with Ceramica Cleopatra on Thursday, Pacheco has slammed a journalist for asking about his potential departure following his team's negative run of results.
"This is a question that should not be asked from a person who understands football. He may be hired and work for the clubs that are against us and are trying to destroy our work," the former Zamalek manager said at a pre-match press conference, per Yallakora.
"I respect everyone and therefore I must be treated with respect.
"The question in this form about my dismissal after the loss is an attack and carries a kind of belittlement, and the press conference has no place or correct timing.
"This was not the first time I was asked this question. It was asked last year."
