JUST IN: Man Utd's first 2024 exit confirmed!

Manchester United's first player exit for 2024 has now been confirmed.

It has been announced that midfielder Donny van de Beek will join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal includes a buy option of €11 million (R222 million), plus €4 million (R80 million) in add-ons, although making the player's deal permanent is not mandatory for the German club.

Having joined United from Ajax Amsterdam in 2020 for a sizeable fee of €39 million (R788 million), things have gone quite miserably for the player since as he never played more than 19 Premier League games in a season.

His time at Old Trafford is characterised by recurring injuries, and this seems to have led to Erik ten Hag losing confidence in him, with the 26-year-old having made just two appearances for United so far in this campaign.

The move to the Bundesliga marks his second loan spell away from the Theatre of Dreams, having previously been shifted out to Everton for six months in the 2021/22 season.
