'I honestly thought this manager was different'

With Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson sending a message to supporters their shock Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford, KickOff readers have reacted to what he said!

What's the story?

Chiefs lost the penalty shootout 5-4 after both teams were unable to break the deadlock in normal as well as extra time. After the game, Johnson used the post-match press conference as an opportunity to address the club's supporters

Check out what the KO faithful had to say!

"It's only a matter of time before they beat him. They can't beat teams, they beat coaches," says Hlayisani Malele.

"We are also sending a message to him... Wear and iron helmet to our next game," says Mavuthela Nabane.

"He deserves a 10 years contract," says Calvin Baloyi.

"And to think he defended these players by assuring them he has confidence in them by not signing new players. Shocking!" claims GMf Sekome.

"He is in danger if he failed to win against Swallows I foresee danger," says Mamba Qandayo Ndlhondlho.

"Not a shock defeat; some expected it and it happened," says Tebele Letseka.

"I cannot continue supporting a team that causes me depression, my health comes first," says Nkosana Zwane.

"He must keep it to himself, he always delivers messages. We want results!" exclaims Solomon Zondi.

"I don't blame him, but [I blame] people who failed to bring a new coach during AFCON. If you go to that family now they are unbothered. It's business as usual to them while you fans are sad," says Gomolemo Kent.

"He has the Solinas vibe, every match that coach would apologise," says Mohau Skyy Magakule.

"They always send messages to fans. Are you a post office?" says Thabang Phala.

"I honestly thought he was different, but if truth be told, he is just another empty tin that makes a lot of noise. I mean he himself said there is enough quality at Chiefs. Well I am not surprised. It happened to a lot of businessmen who gave their businesses to their Children to run them, and they ran them down. This is the end of Chiefs as we all know and I know it's hard to accept but for the sake of your well being, just accept it and move on," says Mesh Monareng.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly facing an investigation following his "rude" response to fans who were chanting Lionel Messi's name at him.

During post-match celebrations, however, Ronaldo responded to persistent "Messi" chants aimed at him by opposition supporters by cupping his hand to his ear and then gesturing with his right hand in a provocative manner near his groin.

Here's what the KO readers think about the issue:

"Those kind of fans are cruel to the game because if they want to watch Lionel Messi play they should go where he's playing so Ronaldo have every right to respond to such evil people," says John Mokoena.

"Cristiano is bigger than all of these so called bloggers. He is too big I repeat he's too big. Without him they have nothing to post about, actually when he retires most of all these small social media platforms close. CR7 is their payroll," says Walter Mkandla.

"These fans should not be allowed in the stadium," says Khuluma Jita.

"In Saudi they chant "MESSI, MESSI" when Ronaldo is playing and in America ???? they still chant "MESSI, MESSI" when Messi is playing. Goat debate settled," says Gamuchirai Muchemwa.

"Fans know that Messi is the name that scares the hell out of him," says Eddie Deeds Moyo.

"If the laws of the country can be bend over backwards to accommodate him, there's nothing stopping him to do what and when he wants," says Kelvin Jacobs.

"Why are those fans not going to Miami and watch Messi play and chant his name there,' says Collymore Caesar.

"Leave the man alone Yoh," says Apostle Joseph Phuluwa.
