Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich stage secured a 3-0 victory over Lazio booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Matthijs de Ligt and Eric Dier started in defence for Bayern, as Lazio recalled Ciro Immobile from the team that lost to AC Milan in Serie A on Friday.
England captain Harry Kane got the opener just after the Italians had threatened through Immobile when he dived onto Raphael Guerreiro's snap shot to head through Ivan Provedel.
It was two when Thomas Muller escaped the offside trap on the stroke of halftime to stay central in the area and helped in De Ligt's snapped shot.
Kane maintained the intensity in the latter third and nabbed a brace when he feed onto a loose ball in the box and tapped in as Provedel spilled Leroy Sane's curling shot.
Bayern were having it all their way and in fact could've added more goals but were undone by poor finishing amongst others, though had done enough to advance.
Real Sociedad 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain
A brace from Kylian Mbappe helped Paris Saint-Germain to a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in the return-leg of the last 16 and 4-1 over two-legs.
Alex Remiro, Igor Zubeldia and Martin Zubimendi survived from the defeat to Sevilla, while Kylian Mbappe, Nuno Mendes, Warren Zaire-Emery, Fabian Ruiz, and Bradley Bracola in for the Ligue 1 giants.
Mbappe worked his magic earlier on when he swerved in wide of the area, applying his trademark movements to come short and cut inside to curl into the top corner.
With little signs of a comeback by the host, the Ligue 1 boys extended the lead a little in the second period through another smartly taken finish by Mbappe- completing a brace.
Sociedad did got a consolation in additional time when Mikel Merino volleyed in a loose clearance, but the evening belonged to the French giants who progressed to the quarter-finals.
