The month of May could hold the significance that goes beyond celebrating his 34th birthday for Prince Nxumalo.
Nxumalo has pushed himself to top of the scoring charts in the two leagues that fall under the PSL – the DStv Premiership and the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

A harvest of 15 goals with six games to play means that Nxumalo is now the leading scorer in the two PSL leagues, ahead of Namibian striker Bethuel Muzeu (12 goals) and Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa (11 goals).
Muzeu plays for Black Leopards in the NFD, while Costa is with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nxumalo is in his first full season at JDR Stars in the First Division after joining them at the beginning of 2023 from Sekhukhune United.

So impressive has the 33-year-old been that his 15 goals have come from 22 appearances.
