'Pitso's players failed him dismally'

With Pitso Mosimane's Abha Club being unable to avoid relegation, fans have now reacted to the news of their fall from the top-flight.

What's the story?

The club's fate was determined after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Al Hazm, a result that saw them drop form the Saudi Pro League into the nation's second-tier. While some readers expressed sympathy towards the South African manager, others criticised his inability to keep the club up.

Here's what they said:

"And that team which relegated him have only two wins in twelve games," says Mzansi Destination Places.

"Hard luck Sir Pitso," says Rimash Mahasha.

"Let's praise Pitso even though he didn't succeed in saving his team from relegation, but he did something that shows that he has coaching experience. Hard luck Sir Pitso," says Lungisani Carburator Ngubane.

"He failed dismally... if Rulani did that, they were going to make noise," says Thihangwi Chippa Tshivhase.

"Abha is Kaizer Chiefs that went to Saudi Arabia School," says Phiweldinhø Mseleku.

"It Will Go Down With The History: Abha Relegated, and Pitso Mosimane Was At The Helm," says Mabotsa Shashape.

"He's coming to Chiefs," says UFuleh UMafukufuku UmfokaMafukuzela-The Fulekzin.

"He has joined other plumbers like Middendorp," says Lokza Mog's.

"That team is very weak they deserve relagation. Now Pitso must come back home," says Glenn SoMuzi Hlahlandlela.

"I've always said give him any club with less resources and let him prove himself to be the best, same as his former assistant who's currently the head coach of some team here in DSTV Premiership. Getting ready made players doesn't make you the best coach," says Thabo Sabelo Disane.

"South African must know that every coach needs quality players to deliver good results. Hardluck Jingles," says Noluthando Kaboyellow Sandawana Nqoko.

"He thought that game was going to be a walk in the park since that team has already been relegated. His players failed him dismally. They can't fail to beat a team that is playing for the formalities," says Katlego MrRockzman Maja.

Meanwhile, amid his rivalry with TS Galaxy head coach  Sead Ramovic, Rulani Mokwena dedicated some words of praise to his rival.

The Mamelodi Sundowns manager stated: "The TS Galaxy coach has done a good job with that team too. The team has improved, and some of the players have gotten better."

Here's how readers responded to his comments:

"He is gathering factors to use in court to win his case, mind game," says Thulani KaMagalela.

"Coach Rulani is very professional and I think at that age of his most coaches should learn a lot from him," says Ayanda Sianda Ace.

"Sunshine is playing mind games," says Simon Mafrika.

"Lol we know he was told by Sundowns to behave properly," says Fentse Cyberr.

"Sead is a good coach... and I think in the coming season he'll do better than this one. I think TS must keep him," says Kwanda Sgotte.

"He had to do that. Sead Ramovic deserves credit for taking TS galaxy to sixth. Well done Rulani, that's sportsmanship," says Arthur Mogapi.

"He's afraid of jail time," says Sonwabile Soso Nombiba.

"I personally want Top coach like Ramovic at Chiefs," says Eagle Has Landed.

"Tom and Jerry," suggests Simrahc Mbedle.

"Lol Rulani just wanted to make headlines," says Aphelele Olwethu Gcobani Mdingi.
