Polokwane City are set to part ways with their trusted Mozambican defensive midfielder, Manuel 'lord' Kambala, who is said to currently be unsettled at the club despite helping them to a Top Eight finish.
Kambala, who turned out for Rise and Shine in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season, will always be remembered for the header he netted in the 59th minute to deny Kaizer Chiefs a league title on 5 September 2020, handing the championship to Mamelodi Sundowns instead.

Kambala joined Polokwane from then Motsepe Foundation Championship side Magesi FC in July 2023.
He played 22 matches in all competitions.
However, as reported by KickOff earlier this week, the 32-year-old has attracted interest elsewhere.
"2023/24 was a very good season for me, it's the first time I finished in the Top Eight since I came to South Africa.
"At Baroka, we had really good players, but we didn't make the Top Eight," Kambala tells this website.
"I did well, I helped the team, and also I'm happy for the chairman [Johnny Mogaladi] because he wanted the Top Eight.
"When I got here, he said to me, 'I know you are an international and a good player, I want you to help the team, help the coach, help your teammates so that we can reach the Top Eight'," he continues.
According to a source, the player might leave as he is apparently not happy with certain issues at the club.
"It's issues to do with the treatment and the conditions, among others. "The one reason is the offer that they are giving him, it's not that good, it's not even close," revealed a source.
"The second reason is, he has some other offers also, so he has been busy comparing."

For his part, Kambala adds: "I first have to listen to Polokwane City, what they can offer me, but I do have on my hands another offer from a PSL team, and there's another one from the continent.
"My contract at Polokwane City was for one year."
