Barca 'make decision' on Fati future

FC Barcelona have reportedly made a final decision on Ansi Fati's future ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

Fati was loaned out to the Brighton and Hove Albion for the past campaign, but his stint in English was interrupted by injuries.

The Spain international made 30 appearances across all competitions for the Seagulls while contributing with four goals and one assist.

Fati's loan spell officially ends on 30 June before he returns to the Camp Nou, but it seems he may have to find another club to play his football.

According to El Chiringuito de Jugones, Barcelona have informed the 21-year-old that he is not in the plans for the new manager, Hansi Flick.

Filck took over from Xavi Hernandez last month and is looking to stamp his authority on the squad for the new campaign.

The report adds that the Catalan giants also inform Fati of their plans to offload him permanently during the transfer window.

Fati came through La Masia academy and was tipped to be a successor to Lionel Messi, who left the club in 2020 to join Paris Saint-Germain.

The Spaniard has managed to rack up 112 appearances for Barcelona since making his first-team debut in 2019 as a 16-year-old.
