OFFICIAL: Davids lands new club after Raja exit

Fadlu Davids has been appointed head coach at new African club after parting ways with Raja Casablanca.

The former Orlando Pirates assistant has been unveiled at Tanzanian side Simba SC.

Davids was the right-hand man to Josef Zinnbauer, who guided Raja to the Moroccan league title without suffering a single defeat.

The former Maritzburg United coach penned a farewell message to the Raja supporters before his move to Simba.

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from this incredible club after a record-breaking season," Davids said in a statement.

"It's been a privilege to have my hand in leading the team to unprecedented success and achieving milestones that will forever be etched in the history books.

"Undefeated League Champions and Conquering the Coupe du Tröne I thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication throughout this unforgettable journey. Your passion and belief in the team have been the driving force behind our triumphs on the field.

"I thank the President, my brother Josef Zinnbauer, all the Raja Board members, fantastic players, support staff, and most of all the incredible Ultras-you are my family for life. So, I leave with a sense of pride and gratitude for the opportunity to work with such talented players, staff and fans.

"I will always carry a piece of Raja in my heart. As I move on to a new chapter in my coaching career, I take with me the memories we have created together and the bond we have formed as the Raja Football Family.

"I am confident that the future of Raja is bright and that the foundations we have laid together will continue to flourish in the seasons to come. Thank you once again for everything. Farewell, and may our paths cross again in the future."
