Royal AM have not received the acquittal that they have been bargaining on to enable them to get back on the transfer market a year since they were banned.

This is based on the latest information from FIFA's updated registration bans.

The KwaZulu-Natal club has two bans related to the cases of Samir Nurkovic and Ricardo Nascimento.

Nurkovic's matter – which involves millions of rands with an annual 5% interest charged – has dragged to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) where a decision is pending.

July 15 has been indicated as a date which could be the day for the issuing of the verdict, but that is all dependant on the arbitrators finalising the matter heard on May 13.

This website can confirm CAS has issued a letter stating that the awarding of the decision has been extended up to September 13 with the possibility of a further extension.

This leaves Royal AM facing the prospect of making on making no signings with the current window shutting on September 20.

Should Royal AM win the case at CAS, then the ban will be lifted, while if they lose, then they must pay Nurkovic his dues or face the possibility of the sanctions being escalated to points deduction provided they don't pay within the stipulated timeframe.

The ban relating to Nascimento came into effect on January 15 for an amount in the region of R600 000.

Nascimento's legal team has informed this publication that they are now merely awaiting the payment after Royal AM changed lawyers.

Motsepe Foundation Championship club JDR also remain banned.

Their three-window ban came into effect on April 17 and relates to Cameroonian striker Auguste Junior Boum Somlaga and an amount of USD35 000 (approx. R635 000).

Somlaga's agent has confirmed that they are still awaiting payment from JDR Stars.

TS Galaxy have their own three-window ban (since June 12) and will have to pay Ivorian striker Bernard Yao Kouassi in the region of USD98 000 (approx. R1,7 million) to have it lifted.

With the case having reached CAS, Tim Sukazi, the TS Galaxy chairman, has indicated that they will settle the debt to be able to make signings.

Kouassi now plays for Rivers United in Nigeria and has told this website that he is still waiting.
