Gaston Sirino's first ever spell without a club in his career has come with various options after the end of his six-and-a-half year stay at Mamelodi Sundowns.

His exit from Sundowns came after he acquired South African permanent residence in January 2023, allowing him to be registered as a non-foreign player.
This website has established from contacts that the 33-year-old is keen to remain in South Africa despite having already had interest from South America.

It has been established that the pint-sized midfielder's priority will be to work on improving his minutes on the field for his new employers rather than the weight of his contract.
Last season, he had seven goal contributions in 24 games after featuring in 27 matches the previous season with a return of eight goal contributions.
Prior to that, his numbers have been nine goal contributions (25 appearances), 27 games (eight goal contributions), with his best having come with 23 goal contributions in 41 appearances during the 2019/20 season.
