On the evidence of it, Kaizer Chiefs new head coach Nasreddine Nabi does not appear to have worked on the team's biggest weakness from last season.
There are already question marks on what Chiefs were actually doing in their Turkey pre-season camp after routinely shipping four goals against Young Africans in the Toyota Cup pre-season friendly tournament.

Amakhosi's issues were well known from last season that their defence would need serious upgrading but so far they have only signed one defender Rushwin Dortley.
The centre-back combination of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Given Msimango does not seem to click still ahead of the new season while a crisis has emerged at left-back.
After Chiefs released Sifiso Hlanti, they have not been able to yet sign a left-back, as academy graduate Nkosana Mbuthu was exposed in an unfamiliar role, following the injuries of Edmilson Dove and Bongani Sam, who was training with the Glamour Boys, with the view of landing a contract.
According to Amakhosi legend Marks Maponyane, the Glamour Boys' defensive issues against Yanga were not new, as they were reminiscent of a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns last season.
"It's not a new concern, you know why? If you can recall, this is the same defence that two goals that were scored, were positioned exactly the same way when Sundowns beat them 5-1," Maponyane said on Radio 2000's Game On.
"Three of the Sundowns goals were the same way, three defenders square, the other times they were diagonally square, not knowing who is going for what.
"Even the blunders from the little Mbuthu, it was also someone not knowing. Those goals were not scored instantly. That defence is having issues. We saw it even against Pirates, remember when [Thabiso] Lebitso scored, it was the same," Maponyane added.

Chiefs do not appear to be chasing defensive signings to add to Dortley and it remains the job of the technical team, led by Nabi, to find a way to improve the organization and communication.
Amakhosi also have the option of introducing new goalkeeper signing Fiacre Ntwari.
