A former Zamalek star has laid down the condition under which he believes Percy Tau could join his old club.
With the South African being linked with a move from Al Ahly to their domestic rivals, Besheer El-Tabei has shared his thoughts on the matter, and suggested that the White Castle needs "extinguished players" to become even better.

Speaking on television show Box to Box, per 5lej News, El-Tabei said that the player – whose contract with the Red Devils is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season – could join the Egyptian side if he becomes a free agent.
"If Percy Tau becomes a free agent, he might join Zamalek just as a matter of stubbornness between the two clubs, but Zamalek needs distinguished players who can carry the White team in the next stage," the former defender stated.
It has previously been reported that the White Castle are waiting on word from Tau's representatives regarding the star's "final position" on a potential exit from Ahly.
It has also been claimed that the side's former president Mamdouh Abbas met with the player and his agent to discuss a transfer, with the pair said to have agreed on terms.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star is believed to have demanded from Zamalek an annual salary of $2.5 million (R45 million), as well as a signing-on bonus comprising his first full season's salary.
This comes after a reported fallout with Ahly manager Marcel Koller that plunged Tau's future at the Cairo club into uncertainty.

The South African has been absent from the Red Devils' recent run of fixtures and was not included in the squad for their 2-1 victory over ZED in a league encounter on Sunday.
It has, however, been suggested that the former Brighton Hove Albion star has picked up an injury that is currently keeping him out of action.
