It is claimed the 21-year-old has attracted the interest of Scottish sides Celtic and Rangers, while United are believed to want a fee of £7 million (about R162 million) to allow the player to depart.
The Tunisia international is said to want regular playing time, something he has not managed to find under Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.
In the Dutchman's first season in charge of the club, Mejbri was sent out for a loan spell at Birmingham City.
The player became an integral part of the EFL Championship's squad, making 41 appearances across all competitions and contributing with a goal and six assists.
However, upon his return to Old Trafford, Mejbri struggled for regular minutes again, making just five appearances before being sent out on another loan deal to Sevilla in January, where he played out the rest of the 2023/24 campaign.
He managed just six appearances for the Spanish club, though, amassing only 101 minutes of game time.
