Pirates' Otladisa set for Arrows?

With the transfer window deadline fast approaching, there is news on Katlego Otladisa, who has been on the periphery for all of Orlando Pirates' six games so far this season.

It has been a long transfer window, one that began at the beginning of July, with Pirates having brought in the likes of Gilberto, Deano Van Rooyen and Selaelo Rasebotja.

This is over and above bringing Boitumelo Radiopane back from a loan stint with Cape Town Spurs, making Thalente Mbatha's loan move from SuperSport United permanent and promoting young sensation Mohau Nkota and goalkeeper Siyabonga Dladla from the DStv Diski Challenge team.

Now, news reaching KickOff is that Otladisa, who was signed amid much fanfare from Marumo Gallants at the beginning of last season, is set to be loaned out.

Competition for a place in Bucs' wing positions has been tight, with the likes of Relebohile Mofokeng and Monnapule Saleng being in scintillating form early on in the campaign.

The arrival of R11 million signing Gilberto as well as the emergence of Nkota could also see Otladisa being pushed further back in the pecking order.

Golden Arrows has been mentioned as a possible destination for a loan deal for the talented winger, who has also turned out for Mamelodi Sundowns in the past.

The fact that a loan move is mooted, instead of a permanent exit, could be an indication that the player who turns on Sunday (22 September) still forms part of the plans for head coach Jose Riveiro, but that he needs the game-time to keep sharp and return a better player next season.

He was recently linked with a move to his former side Gallants, but speaking to this publication, head coach Dan Malesela denied the rumour.

"No, no, no, that's not true. No," he said, citing that he had enough wingers at his disposal.
