Manchester United remain winless in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League after a thrilling 3-3 draw with FC Porto on Thursday evening.
Rasmus Hojlund started for the first time this season and was one of the four changes made by United, with Christian Eriksen, Carlos Casemiro and Amad Diallo restored also following the disappointing loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
An electrifying start had United ahead on seven minutes when Rashford collected on a ball from Eriksen and stormed clear to fire through the sprawling opposing number Diogo Costa.
The nightmarish opening continued for the shot-stopper after a rasping shot by Hojlund with the assist from Rashford sailed through his gloves and gave the visitors a further cushion.
Porto rallied back three minutes to half-hour mark when Pepe capitalised on a loose ball from close-range with the Red Devils struggling to clear their lines and nodded in.
Even terms materialised ten minutes before the break as a delivery from Joao Mario entered the centre of the area where Samu Omorodion took aim to power in off the head.
Alejandro Garnacho, who started on the bench, came on ahead of the second period and saw the man that got the ball rolling in Rashford removed.
Omorodion turned it on again in the opening five minutes of the resumption when he peeled off Matthijs de Ligt to get on the end of Pepe's pass and fired in the top-corner.
Former Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui came close to levelling matters with a galloping attempt from the cusp of the box, but Costa got down and parried.
Omorodion attempted a hat-trick in the final exchanges through a surging attempt from surging run towards the attacking area, but Onana managed to smother him.
The Red Devils, who were humbled by rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, were down to ten-men in the final nine minutes with Bruno Fernandes dismissed for a second bookable offence.
United weren't fazed though but bounced back at the death when Harry Maguire rose high to meet a free-kick from Eriksen and headed in the bottom-corner to leave the spoils shared.
