Haaland: I don't regret what I did to Arsenal star

Manchester City star Erling Haaland insists that he does not regret his controversial behaviour with an Arsenal star last month.

On 22 September, City and Arsenal played out to a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates stadium, with Haaland being one of the players to get on the scoresheet.

It was not the Norwegian's only involvement in the game, though, as he was at the centre of a contentious moment late in the match.

Arsenal looked poised to win the game 2-1 but City defender John Stones netted a late equaliser in stoppage time to salvage a draw.

With the ball hitting the back of the net, Haaland quickly retrieved it, and proceeded to throw it at the back of Gunners defender Gabriel Magalhaes' head.

The incident made headlines in many quarters, with some questioning whether or not it would be fitting to punish the striker for his behaviour.

Ultimately, Haaland escaped any retrospective punishment for his actions, and the 24-year-old has since insisted he has no regrets over what he did.

"It was in the heat of the moment, and a lot of stuff happened in that game." the ex-Borussia Dortmund striker said during a press conference while on Norway duty, according to ESPN.

"Things that happen on the pitch stay there, and that's how it is.

"I don't regret much in life."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Haaland has been in fine scoring form once again this season, registering 11 goals in nine matches in all competitions so far for the Citizens.

His focus, however, is now on Norway's two 2024/25 UEFA Nations League ties against Slovenia and Austria.
