Libya have hit back at Nigeria over the abandonment of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier originally scheduled for Tuesday night.
On Monday, Nigeria national team players, led by captain William Troost-Ekong, took to social media to voice their frustrations over derailed travel arrangements for their next AFCON qualifier against Libya.

The Super Eagles stars were reportedly left stranded for more than 2o hours at Al Abraq International Airport.
The visitors were due to take on Libya on Tuesday night in the country's capital of Benghazi, but their flight was diverted to Al Abraq for reasons reportedly unknown to the Nigerian team.
The Al Abraq airport is said to be at least two hours away from the initial match venue in Benghazi, with the Libyan Football Federation alleged to have failed to provide adequate transport in a timely manner.
Nigeria have since abandoned the game and revealed that the matter was escalated to CAF, who said they are investigating the situation.
The Libyan FF have since broken their silence on the matter, denouncing the Super Eagles' refusal to play the game.
A statement on the organisation's official X account reads: "The Libyan Federation denounces the actions taken by the Nigerian Football Federation by refusing to participate in the Libyan-Nigerian cup qualification match scheduled for Tuesday, 15th October, and affirms that it will take all legal measures to safeguard the interests of Libya's first team.
"The Libyan Federation attaches some inhumane footage that did not prevent the Libyan missions from participating in the Nigeria-Libya game last Friday on Nigeria soil, motivated by co-operation with the African Football Federation.
"The Libyan Football Federation apologises to Libyan audiences everywhere and to the parties involved in the match because of the confusion caused by the Nigerian Football Federation for not having the game on time."
