Comeback: Man Utd end 5-game winless run

Manchester United rallied from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Brentford in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon.

Matthijs De Ligt, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro were all recalled to the Red Devils line-up after the goalless draw against Aston Villa before the international break.

The Bees made the early attacking plays in the opening 15 minutes while the Red Devils had struggled to get the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford in to the game.

Andre Onana did keep the scores level after the midway point, with the United shot-stopper showing great reflexes to keep out Christian Norgaard's curling effort from just outside the area.

Brentford did get the reward just before the halftime break when Ethan Pinnock lost his marker to head home a corner at the near post.

United were not behind for too long as Alejandro Garnacho brought the home side level two minutes after the interval with a lovely volley after being picked out by Marcus Rashford's pin-point cross.

The Red Devils then took the lead after the hour mark as Rasmus Hojlund latched onto Bruno Fernandes' wonderful flick before lobbing the on-rushing Mark Flekken to open his account in the league.

That proved to be Hojlund's last major involvement, with Danish striker making way for Joshua Zirkzee while the Bees coach Thomas Frank introduced Fabio Carvalho and  Yehor Yarmoliuk.

However, the Red Devils were able to see out the closing stages with relative ease to end their five-game winless run in all competitions.
