AFCON 2025: Two more nations qualify!

Two more nations have secured their spots at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations set to be hosted by Morocco.

Reigning champions Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea have become the latest teams to book their spots in the tournament as the last round of qualifiers are played during the current international break.

Joining the already-qualified Algeria, Cameroon, DR Congo, Egypt and Senegal are Equatorial Guinea and Ivory Coast, who won the title earlier this year.

Angola, Burkina Faso and hosts Morocco had previously booked their places.

Ivory Coast's qualification was sealed after Sierra Leone's 1-1 draw with Chad in Abidjan. Chad are bottom of Group G with three points, ruling out their chances of qualification.

Sierra Leone, meanwhile, have managed to accumulate just five points from as many matches, two points behind second-placed Zambia who have a game in hand.

The Ivorians sit at the top of the group with nine points from four matches.

Equatorial Guinea progressed courtesy of Liberia's 1-0 win over Togo in Monrovia. They are second in Group E, behind Algeria, with seven points from four matches.

While Liberia are just three points away from the second-placed side, their hopes of overtaking Equatorial Guinea are extinguished due to their inferior head-to-head record.

Confirmed qualified teams:

- Morocco (hosts)

- Algeria

- Angola

- Burkina Faso

- Cameroon

- DR Congo

- Egypt

- Equatorial Guinea

- Ivory Coast

- Senegal
