It now appears that there's growing excitement around the arrival of Bafana Bafana in Uganda, as some popular Ugandans have now joined in to create huge hype around the two countries' upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday. Here's a look!
The Story
The Mandela National Stadium in Kampala will be the battleground for Uganda and South Africa on Friday, 15 November, with the two teams looking to secure qualification for the next AFCON in Morocco.
Uganda finds themselves top of Group K with 10 points from four matches, while Bafana sits in close second with eight points from their first four qualifiers.

A victory for either side will ensure a spot in next year's showpiece, while a draw could also earn Bafana a ticket to AFCON if the other game in the group between Congo and South Sudan goes their way.
For Uganda, however, they've essentially got one foot in the door for AFCON 2025, but their fixture against Bafana holds huge importance as they brace themselves for a return to the tournament after their last appearance in 2019.
The Uganda Cranes page on X has been quite active in the build-up to Friday's match, as they seem to have streamlined their commercial partnerships with MTN and Nivana to promote the upcoming game.

Pia Pounds is not the only famous Ugandan to have promoted the clash; a teenage music sensation called Felista Di Superstar has also played her part in promoting the fixture against Bafana.
