Kaizer Chiefs are seemingly deep in the throes of a centre-back crisis after another poor showing by Inacio Miguel and another game without a clean sheet.
The Soweto giants prioritized strengthening their defence in the off-season and signed Miguel for a reported R10 million from Angolan side Pedro de Luanda, along with the likes of Rushwin Dortley.

However, Miguel's quality has been questioned, almost halfway through the season, after his lack of discipline saw him miss three games from an accumulation of yellow cards and one straight red card.
Only two games since his return, the Angolan showed his erratic side in a 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy, with a few misplaced passes early on, and was blamed for Samukelo Kabini having a free header to score the opener for The Rockets.
"It was a very disappointing game for Kaizer Chiefs. I mean, I was so disappointed the way they played the first 45 minutes. It was like a team grabbed all those players somewhere, they couldn't combine and play constructive. Even as a coach, you would be disappointed," Steve Sekano, ex-Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows midfielder, lamented on Radio 2000's Game On.
"I looked at Miguel, the passes, he made so many mistakes at the back. If you look at how the goal came, Miguel was sleeping when Kabini headed the ball.
"Miguel saw that he made a mistake, that's why he had his hands on his head, to say, 'Eish, I left Kabini to score a goal'. That's how much Chiefs were not in the game until they brought players like Vilakazi," Sekano observed.
Given Msimango is also under fire from supporters and there are doubts on whether he's good quality for a club the stature of the Glamour Boys, after his mistake to let Royal AM score a last-minute equaliser recently.

Dortley, on the other hand, was substituted evidently due to a knee injury and it remains to be seen if he will be available when the side host Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 29.
Nasreddine Nabi's charges are the only team yet to keep a clean sheet in the Betway Premiership in all their nine matches so far.
