Orlando Pirates legend Lucky Lekgwathi has given his review of the Soweto derby and how he would have reacted to Patrick Maswanganyi's cheeky penalty if he was still playing.
Pirates continued to put pressure on rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the league title race, after a last-gasp 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium last Saturday.

With the game headed for a stalemate, Bucs were awarded a penalty deep in stoppage time that was put away by Maswanganyi.
The man in Gold and Black came into the titanic fixture as underdogs and somewhat punched above the expectations, after they created a number of good chances that they could not convert.
Although Jose Riveiro's men also had their opportunities, Lekgwathi has suggested that he expected Chiefs to rise to the occasion, as the derby over the years has always been won by the team that is not on form.
"We people who played the derby, we know that the team that is not doing well, it's a team that usually wins the derby. I'm happy Chiefs came to the party, they entertained people. The derby was worth people's money," reflected Lekgwathi, speaking to KickOff.com.
"The Buccaneers came in numbers, they had the confidence that we would beat Kaizer Chiefs, and it happened. Both teams played very well."
The former Pirates defender says he could not believe the confidence in Maswanganyi to chip the 96th minute penalty the way he did, as such class and bravery is usually reserved for players like Lionel Messi, in such big occasions.
"It happened in the dying minutes that Pirates got a penalty and Maswanganyi... yho, ah! I'm telling you, it's gonna be in the history books of the derby that [in the] 96th minute he chipped a penalty," Lekgwathi said.

"Such things we're used to seeing from the likes of Messi. If I was still a player and Maswanganyi chips that penalty, yho, I'm telling you, I was going to go crazy!
"What a penalty, what a confidence, especially after missing a penalty against Cape Town City recently."
Pirates face Sekhukhune United at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday at 19:30.
