Tanzanian sides fearful of Fadlu's 'respected' Simba?

Ahead of his side's clash against Fadlu Davids' Simba SC, a rival coach was very respectful of the side while admitting that he is not demanding three points from his players.

Tanzania Prisons head coach Amani Josiah acknowledged Simba's strength, describing them as a formidable side, and revealed that his team would take a cautious approach to the match as underdogs, ahead of their clash on Tuesday afternoon.

"I can't put too much pressure on my players by demanding three points. I will let them play freely, and we will take whatever result comes our way," Josiah stated per Daily News

Tanzania Prisons' assistant captain, Tariq Simba, echoed his coach's sentiments, acknowledging the reputation of their rivals but insisting they are ready to fight.

"We respect Simba, knowing they are a big team, but we are prepared to fight. Even though they won the first leg match, we will give our best in tomorrow's game," he said.

Simba SC, who were just two points off the top of the NBC Premier League table, faced Tanzania Prisons on Tuesday afternoon and beat them by three goals to nil.

With Young Africans SC being held to a goalless draw by JKT Tanzania on Monday, a victory for Simba meant that they reclaimed the top spot as they continue their push for the league title.

Davids, meanwhile, stated that his side would be using the same approach that have seen them emerge as title contenders during the current campaign.

"We will continue with the same approach, trying to create many chances. The main objective is to try to score early. The quicker you score, the opponents lose motivation," the South African tactician said.

"We know it's going to be a tough match with the tactical instructions the new coach has put in," he added.

"We are preparing for all possibilities. It's going to be a tough match, like all matches are tough in the Premier League and we will not take it lightly."
