The former Ajax Cape Town star was last on the books of Khor Fakkan, scoring only one goal after making 21 appearances in the UAE Pro League during the 2023/24 season.

'Cream', as he is otherwise known in the local football circles, is set to turn 35 years old on April 11.

Cape Town City chairman John Comitis has confirmed that Serero is currently training with his team, but was coy when asked for more details.
