Former Manchester United attacker Dwight Yorke has urged the club to sign Paul Pogba, claiming that the Frenchman is "far better" than what the Red Devils currently have.
Pogba has been without a club since testing positive for a banned substance in August 2023. Initially handed a four-year suspension, his ban was later reduced to 18 months, meaning he can resume playing professional football in March.

However, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is yet to secure a new club, leaving his future up in the air.
Meanwhile, United find themselves in a dire situation, currently languishing in 15th place on the Premier League table.
It has been a turbulent period for manager Ruben Amorim, who took over in November but has struggled to turn things around.
The Portuguese tactician has won just one of his last five league matches, raising concerns over whether the current squad is capable of adapting to his tactical demands.
Despite their struggles, United only made one significant signing in the January transfer window, securing wingback Patrick Dorgu.
With Pogba now available as a free agent, Yorke believes the Red Devils should take advantage of the opportunity to bolster their midfield ranks.
"I would give Paul Pogba a third chance, definitely, because of what United currently have and because of what we know he is capable of producing," Yorke said per FOOTBOOM.
"United have struggled, and Pogba is a damn good player. I'm sure Pogba would be very keen. Even though he's 31, I think he's far better than what we have now.
"And if you're going to get a player for free, who's far better than all our players in midfield, then you do it."
He added: "With two months left in the season, I would say, 'Let's have a look.' Give him a contract. You've got time here to prove yourself. You can come and play and help us out with the situation."

With United in desperate need of reinforcements and Pogba eager for a fresh start, it remains to be seen whether the club will heed Yorke's call and offer the Frenchman a route back to Old Trafford.
