Neymar: I taught Messi how to...

Neymar has revealed he was once left astonished when his former teammate Lionel Messi asked him to teach him something in training.

According to Transfermarkt, Messi is still Neymar's most frequent teammate, with the two having starred together in 206 matches at FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Moreover, the pair have won more than 10 trophies together, including the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and Ligue 1.

Neymar, who recently rejoined his boyhood club Santos in Brazil, has revealed that Messi once asked him in training to teach him how to take penalties better.

"I helped Messi take penalties! We were in training, and he asked me... 'How do you take penalties like that?'" Neymar said during an interview on the Podpah podcast.

"I was like, 'Are you crazy? You're Messi! If I can do it, you can too.'"

The Brazilian star also revealed that he was almost lured by Pep Guardiola, who attempted to convince him to join Bayern Munich back in 2012.

"I almost went to Bayern because of Guardiola. I went to receive the Puskás Award, and my father kept calling me at two in the morning, saying, 'I'm coming over, open the door now.'

"There I was, in my underwear and T-shirt, and there were my father and Guardiola. Guardiola entered my room and started talking to me. 'I want to take you to the team I'm going to, come play with me, I will make you the best.'

"He grabbed a piece of paper and a laptop and began showing me, 'You're going to do this and that; if you don't score 60 goals in a year, I'll change my name.'

"I started to waver, hearing Guardiola say that. He said, 'I'm going to sign with Bayern; I know it's a cold city, but I promise I'll take care of you there.'"
