Monnapule Saleng's absence at Orlando is turning into a series with the left-footed winger back planted in isolation after spending a few days with the CHAN squad.
Saleng was called up for the CHAN qualifiers squad – made up mostly of players without minutes at their clubs – and featured in the 1-1 draw against Egypt.

While the glimpses of his quality were evident in that game, the reality of his situation is that he is back lounging in loneliness as he fights his issues against his employers.
"The boy came to Free State well prepared by Kabelo Machete, who is s someone that I worked with all over the country," says Vladislav Heric, who coached Saleng at Free State.
"It was a joy working with the player and it was evident he was destined for greater things.
"I know him more for what he does on the pitch than all else that could now be happening with his club and agents.
"All I hope for is that the boy can get psychological help now because it is not easy facing these challenges at the big clubs.
"At the big clubs, there is fame and then there will also be money or lack of it, which can be dangerous for the image of a player both ways.
"To be a big name at these big clubs comes with expectations from the club, country, family, community, sponsors, and all others involved.

"I believe the big clubs have all these professional people around players to help them in matters to do with money and how to behave as a public person.
"It is easy to get lost for these young boys when in the public space.
"After all is said and done, we need the boy back on the field," says Heric.
