A former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has reportedly parted ways with an African team, following what the club considers an unsatisfactory run of performances under his guidance.
Several owners of African clubs are known to be impatience and trigger-happy when the desired results are not coming their way. Panic buttons have been pressed already by a number of teams, as a handful of coaches have been fired in the early stages of the 2024/25 season.
Tunisian powerhouse Esperance de Tunis recently ended their relationship with Romanian coach Laurentiu Reghecampf, while Manqoba Mngqithi was also released by Masandawana.

The most recent coach reported to have parted ways with a club is Miguel Gamondi of the Libyan team Al-Nasr SC. According to El Botola, Al-Nasr is understood to have made a decision to terminate Gamondi's contract.
It has been reported that the team's dismissal of the former Downs tactician was prompted by a poor series of results.

Interestingly, the Argentine exits Nasr while they are in second place in the Libyan Premier League East Group 1 standings, having garnered 26 points from 14 matches.
This marks the second instance this season that the 58-year-old coach has been dismissed after unexpectedly leaving his head coaching role at Tanzanian club Young Africans in November 2024.
