"I congratulate the boys for playing the way I wanted, the only thing that we did not achieve from this game is shaking the net of the opponent," Davids told Pan-Africa Football.
"We had chances to score, and even get the second and the third but it never happened. We still have a chance in the return leg, I believe we will play well and get a positive result."

"African football has a lot of things, that was a legitimate penalty for us, and despite all the noise that we made, the referee did not want to bother to go and watch the replays (on VAR), and there are a lot of things that happen when you are playing away."
