Life continues to be good in Zimbabwe for the former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns forward Khama Billiat as he has earned yet another prestigious award in his home country.
The 34-year-old star had an impressive 2023/24 season with Yadah FC in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists, totaling 24 goal contributions in 26 matches.
Billiat, who now plays for newly promoted Zim PSL side Scottland FC, was named the winner of the 2025 People's Choice Award, surpassing 14 other nominees at the Annual National Sports Awards held on Monday.

The Zimbabwean international was vying for the award alongside France-based basketball player Vitalis Chikoko, swimmer Paige Van Der Westhuizen, and tennis player Sasha Chimedza, amongst other skilled athletes.
Following the end of last season, the ex-Ajax Cape Town dribbling wizard was awarded the Fans Choice Award while also becoming the runners-up of the Soccer Star Of The Year at the Castle Soccer Stars awards.

Billiat conveyed his appreciation to the supporters who voted for him to receive the award.
"Hi guys, this is Kama Billiat, a Scotland midfielder, I just want to take this time to thank everyone who has taken time to vote for me," Billiat told Scottland's media department.
"I have won the award, ANSA, People's Choice Award. Thank you very much, I truly appreciate it. Together we can make a big difference, thank you."
