With it now confirmed that Jose Riveiro will leave Orlando Pirates at the end of the season, a recent report has revealed a potential next destination for the Spanish coach.

The Bucs confirmed that they are now focusing on finishing the season and giving Riveiro a proper send-off following his big decision.

Nevertheless, the Spaniard is already lined with a potential next job

Recently it was reported by Soccer Laduma that Riveiro has emerged as a consideration for Morocco, who are unsure of whether their current head coach will continue at the helm.

Speculation around Regragui's future has been mounting in recent weeks, with reports from Morocco suggesting that he will step down after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for January 2026.

Morocco World News have also claimed that Jose Riveiro is one of the names being considered if Regragui parts ways with the national team.

North African publication Erem News are now reporting that sources close to the Moroccan Football Federation denied these assertions, stating that Walid Regragui will continue in his role until the end of his contract in January 2026.

The aforementioned North African outlet claims that their sources close to the Moroccan national team have stated that there are currently no negotiations with Jose Riveiro or any other coaches.

Other rumoured contenders for the role include Hussein Ammouta, the head coach of Emirati club Al Jazira, as well as Tarik Sektioui, the current Morocco U-23s coach.

Meanwhile, Riveiro's tenure in South Africa has been highly successful, as he boasts an impressive five trophies since joining Pirates in July 2022—comprising three MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cups.
