New deal for top striker at Sekhukhune

Ohizu had a proposal to join Algerian champions MC Alger at the beginning of the season.

Talks happened, with the North Africans proposing an offer of USD150 000 (approx. R2,8 million), but no deal was ultimately agreed on and Ohizu stayed on.

Sekhukhune then immediately opened talks for a new contract with the 28-year-old, whose deal was due to run up at the end of June.

Talks that started earlier in the season have ultimately led to an agreement.

“We have agreed on a new two-year extension with improved terms for the player,” confirms Abayomi Adebayo, who represents Ohizu.

Last season, the former Jomo Cosmos striker scored nine goals and is on four so far this term.

After two years with Ezenkosi, he then moved to Sekhukhune, where he has played up to now.
