'Tired' Malesela reacts to Gallants decision

Dan 'Dance' Malesela has expressed his feelings regarding Marumo Gallants' management's decision to part ways with him.

Without elaborating much, Malesela seemed unconvinced by the statement released by Gallants last Friday.

The club announced that they had parted ways with the former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns defender as well as technical director Molefi Ntseki due to their inability to improve the team's position in the standings.

At the time of Malesela's departure, the Limpopo-based outfit were ranked 14th on the table, although he managed to guide them to the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup.

Gallants are set to face Motsepe Foundation Championship side Durban City in the cup competition next month.

In the interim, Malesela's assistant coaches, Sundra Govinder and Duncan Lechesa, have taken over on a caretaker basis while the club finalises a deal with Moroccan coach Abdessiam Duaddou.

"I don't know much about the statement," Malesela said, speaking to KickOff.com

"Honestly, I don't have much to say, I'm just tired.

"I really don't know what to say.

"Obviously, there are some issues, but I haven't received any formal communication from the club.

"I only got a verbal notice, but... there's nothing more to discuss, just verbal communication.

"I don't know how I'm feeling - I'm numb.

"So, it's okay. I'm still waiting for the official letter from the club. I truly don't know."
