Jali heading back to the homeland

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali is set to arrive in Gqeberha this weekend to undergo medicals before completing his proposed move to Chippa United.

Since parting ways with Moroka Swallows early this year, Jali has been a free agent, with many curious as to his next move.

Nicknamed 'AJ', he has already agreed on terms with Chippa, having been linked to the Eastern Cape-based outfit by KickOff on Thursday.

His move to the club is now the subject of medicals.

The former Brazilians midfielder is set to join by striker Gabadihno Mhango at the Chilli Boys as part of the club's restructuring process that saw the club releasing 16 players last week.

According to a source close to the Chilli Boys, they are set to announce the departure of goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali in the next few days.

"Chippa are still trying to finalize the list of their new signings before releasing a statement. It should be [done] next week at the latest.

"They will be announcing more than three big signings for the coming season," said the source.

The club have since retained the services of both Kwanele Kopo and Thabo September as co-coaches for next season.
