The period between the end of last season and the start of the 2024/25 campaign has left an incredible number of players feeling the pinch of being out of contract.
With some, it is the first time in their careers that they get to complete a month without earnings from a football contract yet for others it is familiar territory.

If it is goalkeepers, then it is Itumeleng Khune, Richard Ofori, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Jackson Mabokgwane and Boalefa amongst the options.
The defenders list has Edwin Gyimah, Siyanda Xulu, Brian Onyango, Roscoe Pietersen, S'fiso Hlanti and Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya as part of a long list of players whose deals have not been renewed in the Betway Premiership and Motsepe Foundation Championship respectively.
The midfield has Bongani Zungu at the front of the queue after he left Mamelodi Sundowns.

Through the midfield, there is also Thato Mokeke, Gaston Sirino, Given Mashikinya, George Maluleka, Lucky Mohomi, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Keagan Dolly and Luvuyo Memela as some of the options.

Further up the field, Kermit Erasmus leads a group that has Ndumiso Mabena, Augustine Kwem, Tashreeq Morris, Souaibou Marou and Thamsanqa Gabuza, amongst several others.
