The 58-year-old will now be tasked with guiding his new side back to the top-flight of Saudi Arabian football after Al-Ahli were relegated to the second division at the end of last season.
Mosimane is both the most decorated coach in South African history as well as in Africa while at the helm of Sundowns and Al Ahly.
The former Bafana Bafana mentor became the first coach to lift the CAF Champions League titles with two different teams while sealing the continental trophy on three occasions.
Mosimane was also named as CAF Coach of the Year in 2016 while winning five PSL titles in a decorated managerial career so far.
