Former Chippa United coach Tebogo Moloi believes this situation reflects a lack of vision among young players in South Africa.
"It is sad to hear that so many of our young PSL players do not have passports," he says.
"If you are a PSL player and you don't have a passport, it tells me that you are not serious about your life and career, especially since we are always under the spotlight of European leagues.
"If a young player dreams of playing overseas but doesn't even apply for a passport, it shows that they are not thinking big," reveals the Orlando Pirates legend.
Moloi was particularly disheartened to learn that Kaizer Chiefs star Pule Mmodi also found himself in the same situation while at Golden Arrows.
"Now we see a young player from TS Galaxy missing out on a World Cup qualifier for the same issue.
