Messi: This player made me angry the most

Lionel Messi has now revealed the player who has caused his blood to boil the most in his playing career so far.

The Argentine represented Barcelona for more than 20 years, working his way through the youth ranks before making his first senior appearance for the side in 2003 and going on to represent the Blaugrana until his shock departure in 2021.

During his stay with the Catalan giants, the 36-year-old would regularly take part in heated clashes with arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Messi participated in 45 ElClasicos, and faced former Los Blancos defender Sergio Ramos on 44 occasions, producing many heated and iconic clashes between the pair.

According to the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, the Spanish defender is the player who has evoked his anger the most so far in his career.

"With Sergio Ramos, we fought a lot. He was the player I got the most angry with," Messi said in an interview with YouTube channel Listos a Todo earlier this week, per Forbes.

"Later we were teammates, but in the Clasicos, we always grabbed on to each other.

"The classics were intense."

The pair would both go on to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2021. Over the next two seasons, the former LALIGA stars appeared on the pitch together on 45 occasions, winning 33 games, drawing six and losing six.

Together, they also managed to get their hands on two Ligue 1 titles and one French Super Cup.

Messi currently represents Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, while Ramos recently became a free agent once more after departing boyhood club Sevilla.

Another reunion between the pair could yet be on the cards too, with the Spanish defender having been linked with a potential move to the US.
