Real Madrid 'to offer' Man Utd R2.1bn for Modric successor

LALIGA giants Real Madrid have reportedly been prepared to spend £90million (R2.1 billion) for a Manchester United star as a potential successor for veteran midfielder Luka Modric.

A report emerging from the English outlet Daily Star has claimed that Los Blancos are considering the possibility of acquiring Red Devils star Bruno Fernandes ahead of the next season.

Fernandes, who will celebrate his 30th birthday a day before Modric's, has a contract with the English club that runs until 2027, with an additional option available.

Nevertheless, the Daily Star report indicates Madrid are willing to pay a staggering £90 million (R2.1 billion) for the player.

According to Madrid Universal, United would demand at least €100 million (R1.9 billion) for the midfielder's services.
