"Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappé have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons," the club announced in a statement.
The Frenchman joins the Spanish giants as a free agent, but has been linked with a move to Los Blancos for a number of years, with speculation thereon ramping up at the beginning of the 2023/24 season amid reports at the time suggesting that he was reluctant to renew his deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old – in an interview with Forbes last month – expressed a desire to represent a club outside of his home country for the first time in his career, and he has now secured that opportunity.
