Prior to the draw, FCSB could have either faced Olympique Lyon, who finished sixth in the league stage, or Eintracht Frankfurt who qualified for the Round of 16 with a fifth-place finish.
Now, however, it has been confirmed that they will be going up against Lyon.
This comes after the draw took place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday afternoon.
The top eight sides in the league phase qualified automatically for the round of 16, where they were joined by the eight winners of the two-legged knockout phase play-offs.
English giants Manchester United, meanwhile, will be looking for a continental trophy as their hunt to salvage their season under Ruben Amorim rages on.
In their way, however, will be Spanish outfit Real Sociedad who will be eager to cause an upset and send the Red Devils crashing out of the competition.
Fellow English side Tottenham Hotspur will be keen on winning their first piece of silverware since 2008, but Dutch side AZ Alkmaar will be hoping to dash those dreams.
