The top-flight outfit picked up a 2-0 victory, Joao Gomes and Matheus Cunha's goals proving enough for the side to progress to the next round of the domestic tournament.

Munetsi came on just after the hour mark, replacing Goncalo Guedes in the middle of the park, and was involved in creating a few chances before the final whistle was blown.

Speaking after the game, Pereira shined a spotlight on the physicality that the Zimbabwean will be bringing them to the side as they look to maintain their top-flight status.

"He's a strong player," the Portuguese tactician said per Soccer24.

"The three players that we brought in this window, they are strong – physically strong, and they can add a lot. They can help us a lot in this long season that we have to face."

Munetsi, reacting to making his first appearance for Wolves, described his experience as a dream come true.

"I'm so delighted, it has been a dream come true for me, representing a big club like Wolves. What a way to start, I think the guys had already done the most difficult job, to take the lead, and I was just there to do my small part."
