Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter has explained what went wrong in the quarter-final defeat to Nigeria but remained coy on his future after their AFCON 2019 exit.
After a lucklustre first-half in which Nigeria dominated and held a 1-0 lead through Samuel Chekwueze's 27th minute strike, there was a notable improvement in the second 45 minutes.
Bongani Zungu headed home his second of the tournament from a Percy Tau set-piece which was awarded after consulation of VAR.

But William Troost Ekong's restored the Super Eagles advantage with just one minute of regulation time remaining to advance to the semi-finals of the continental showpiece.
And after the game, Baxter sought to explain the change in intensity of his side that claimed a historic victory over hosts Egypt in the last-16.
"We weren't brave enough in the first-half, we did it without compromise against Egypt, we ended up being a bit 50-50 and they ended up playing in between us," Baxter said.
