Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong revelled in delight after netting a last-gasp strike to seal Bafana Bafana's elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday night.
South Africa and the Super Eagles looked to be heading for extra-time in their quarter-final clash at the Cairo International Stadium, after Bongani Zungu's VAR-assisted header cancelled out Samuel Chukwueze's first-half strike.
However, defender Troost-Ekong emerged as an unlikely hero in the 89th minute of the tie to seal his side's progression to the semi-finals of the African spectacle.

The towering Udinese centre-back claimed after the match that he had wanted revenge after Bafana levelled matters in the second half through Zungu.
"I dream about moments like this. To score and for it to be important for the team is amazing," he said in post-match comments, as per AFP.
"It's not my job to score, I'm a defender so I was happy we didn't give away too many chances. After they scored from a set-piece I thought that I wanted revenge.
"We were confident we could score again. We didn't want to go to extra-time because we were going to be tired, but I think it was the same for South Africa.
"I think every game is tough now. We've seen big teams lose and go out of the tournament so it's going to be difficult whoever we face. We came here to try and win the trophy."
Gernot Rohr's side will face the winner of the clash between Algeria and Ivory Coast in the semi-finals of the tournament.
