Nigeria wonderkid: It's a dream come true

Nigeria star Samuel Chukwueze, who put in a Man of the Match performance against Bafana Bafana, revealed his delight at scoring his first goal for the Super Eagles in their 2-1 quarter-final victory at the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday.

Chukwueze, 20, was arguably Nigeria's most exciting attacking outlet at the Cairo International Stadium as the Villarreal wonderkid constantly tormented Bafana defenders Sifiso Hlanti and Thamsanqa Mkhize.

After netting the opener in only his seventh start for the Super Eagles in the victory over Stuart Baxter's side, Chukwueze revealed his delight at helping his side reach the semi-finals of the competition.

"I feel so happy to be named as Man of the Match because it has not been easy for me and the team. I have been working so hard," Chukwueze said in post-match comments, as per completesports.com
