AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz has insisted that his side's ability to keep Kaizer Chiefs at bay is to be applauded.
Usuthu only needed to prevent Chiefs from finding the back of the net to knock them out of the MTN8 as the side locked horns for the second leg of the cup's semi-final tie.
"I think we were the team with the best chances. I don't think they [Chiefs] had that many many good chances. They had a few situations here and there," Folz said post-match.

Chiefs failed to register a single shot on target against Usuthu and ultimately lost the tie on aggregate following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
"My priority is to make sure every team that comes here has a difficult time playing against us. I think that was the case against Chiefs. A very good team. Lots of quality as I said earlier," added Folz.
"So for us to deny them creating chances against us is already a big accomplishment."
AmaZulu returns to DStv Premiership action with a clash against Marumo Gallants on Wednesday before hosting Stellenbosch on Sunday.
Usuthu will then hope to meet home ground advantage count when they meet Orlando Pirates for the MTN8 at the Moses Mabhida on 5 November.
Pirates sent Mamelodi Sundowns crashing out of the MTN8 with a 3-0 win on Saturday.
