Bafana Bafana don't want to miss out on the Africa Cup of Nations again

Bafana, who failed to qualify for the 2017 AFCON, need a draw in their final Group E match against Libya to confirm their place in the competition set to be played in Egypt in June.

Furman missed out on Bafana’s last qualifier against Nigeria due to injury – which they drew – but is back in the side, eager to help qualify for the biggest competition on the continent.

“I had to put in a lot of work into my recovery, I had to get back to form to make sure I was in this camp. I wanted to make sure I was playing well and pushing hard to be in this camp.

“As players these are the games you want to play. There’s a huge prize at the end of it [qualifying for AFCON]. It’s great to be here, we are pushing and we all know what the prize is. We are so focused on being at the AFCON this time round, so we’ve got to get the job done.

“I was at the game against Nigeria and the boys did very well. What we’ve got to remember is that we are undefeated in this group and obviously if it remains that way then we qualify, Furman said after Bafana’s first training in Sfax on Monday.

“So we’ve got to take that as a huge positive. We’ve taken on one of the best teams in Africa. We beat them away and we put in a good performance, so we can come into this camp with a lot of confidence.
