Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is aware where they messed up in the AFCON qualifiers

Bafana played to a goalless draw with Libya at Moses Mabhida Stadium in their second group match, but it’s against Seychelles away from home where Williams feels they let themselves down.

Despite dominating the game and creating the majority of the chances, Bafana were held to a goalless draw by Seychelles, just a few days after hammering them 6-0 at FNB Stadium. Now Bafana go into their final Group E match against Libya in Sfax this Sunday, needing to avoid defeat at all costs to qualify.

“We know where we messed it up, the away game against Seychelles. That was the perfect game for us, after giving them six, to wrap and qualify. We know that we made it tough for ourselves, but it’s nice going into this game knowing that it’s not a dead rubber. Going out there we need to fight,” the SuperSport United goalkeeper said.

“This is how it’s going to be at AFCON. Every game will be a must-win, so this is a good preparation and test for us. We must show that we are ready and that we can do it. If we can beat Libya, then I’d say we are ready for AFCON.”
