Head coach Hugo Broos has expressed his delight at the revival of Evidence Makgopa whose six goals for Orlando Pirates this season have earned a return to Bafana Bafana.
Bafana will host Uganda away on Friday, 15 November, before hosting South Sudan in Cape Town on Tuesday, 19 November.
Broos had named an initial 38-man squad for the upcoming matches, which has now been trimmed down to a final 23.

Among the big talking points from the squad is the return of Makgopa, who makes the final squad for the first time since the AFCON in February.
The 24-year-old had lost his spot in the national team after falling down the pecking order at Pirates, with the emergence of Tshegofatso Mabasa who fired to the top scorer in the league.
However, Makgopa has started the season on a high and has seemingly regained his spot as Pirates' leading man upfront and has repaid head coach Jose Riveiro with six goals so far, much to the delight of Broos.
"You know I like Evidence, I like Evidence," Broos said on SABC Sport shortly after making his squad announcement.
"I've like him since I got here because he is a guy with potential. Everyone was surprised when we went with him to AFCON and everyone was even more surprised that he played.

"But I think when you see the performances of Evidence, you can only be happy. So he is not a fantastic footballer but he is so useful for the team and I see it now also at Pirates, I see him playing. He is so useful for the team even without scoring also. So he is confident.
"He is the type of player we don't have; tall, good with his head so yes, again, I like him. So when the opportunity is there, Evidence will always be with us."
Bafana will take on Uganda away on Friday, 15 November before welcoming South Sudan in Cape Town on Tuesday, 19 November.
